Happy July everyone!
We are back from our Summer break and I wanted to take a moment to welcome our newest students on campus: on Monday, July 10th we started a new Day-class and a new Night-class, with 11 students in each class. Myself and Chef Maccherola are lucky to be the ones teaching their Basic’s classes, and things are off to a great start! Welcome to ACI!
Our next open house will be on Saturday, August 5th, at 9am. We will be hosting a Veteran Culinary Bootcamp class, and Chef Eric Naddy will be serving up some good things to snack on. I know it will be hot, but we’d still love to see all of you so don’t hesitate to stop by.
During the second week of August, Du Jour will be opening for dinner service under the watchful eyes of Chef James West and FOH instructor Samantha Evans, and we will remain open through the first week of October. We serve dinner on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights beginning at 6:30pm. If you would like to join us, reservations are highly encouraged. AND, what a great opportunity to use that 50% off student discount!
On the last Friday in September ACI has signed up for the 2nd Annual Resource Fair and Kickball Tournament for the Arizona National Guard’s Suicide Prevention Program. We will have a table at the fair, but we are also entered in the kickball tournament. We thought it would be cool if the team could be made up mostly of ACI staff and Veteran students (either past or present). If you are interested in being a part of the team, please email me at c.wolf@azculinary.edu so I can put you on the roster!
Keep up the great work out there everyone! You make us proud.
